Here is a love letter. It’s about my dear friend Katharine, and her husband Raco. 18 months after getting married, Raco has finally been granted a visa to come join his wife in the UK.
You see, Katharine is an artist. She makes theatre and brings wonderful stories to life for thousands of people every year. But there’s no money in the arts, and the government has issues with people not making money. And because Raco isn’t from the EU, his skills, his knowledge, his ability to earn a living don’t really matter to the government. It’s all down to how much Katharine makes. And there’s no money in the arts.
But I should really let her tell her own story.
